Avast Software, maker of one of the best third party free security software provider, has acquired Jumpshot to integrate its innovative PC optimization technique in Avast products. Now-a-days all security products are extending the reach of their products to include PC optimization tools to make those an all-in-one solution. In this process we have witnessed many such acquisition, namely the acquisition of Tune-up Utilities by AVG. The reason behind the choice pf Jumpshot has been revealed by AVAST Chief Technology Officer Ondrej Vlcek.
Quote:The PC tune-up tools market has many players, but we were especially impressed by Jumpshot’s ability to legitimately and dramatically improve PC performance.
Indeed, Jumpshot has been an innovative software in the crowded field of PC optimizers. It was cleverly made to help less tech-savvy PC users optimize and tune up their PC performance, cleaning it from unpleasant toolbars and junk software. They turned their goal into reality by creating Jumpshot, which – with one-click activation or the insertion of their USB stick into a computer – begins scanning the PC. While this is being done, each minion explains its specific task, providing friendly and easy-to-understand feedback on the clean-up work they have done. In addition to this, users can win “Karma” points for all the “Grime” (unwanted and harmful files) the minions have removed.
David Endler, CEO of Jumpshot also thinks that Avast suits Jumpshot.
Quote:AVAST’s and our vision fit perfectly together — providing our customers with easy-to-use yet effective security, to maintain a smooth computer experience.
Jumpshot integrated Avast products will be available at the end of this year.
Quote:Jumpshot’s optimization technology is slated to become available to all AVAST users around the winter holiday season – just in time to get rid of the annoying pre-packaged software on brand new Windows computers.
